Franciscan Festival at Portziuncola Indulgence Day
Francis loved us so much that he begged Our Lord and His Mother to grant a Plenary Indulgence to all who went to Mass, Confession, received Communion and prayed in the Church. Pope Honourius III granted this desire of St. Francis so that the indulgence could be obtained on August 2 of each year. Now this privilege has come to us in Fort Wayne, In. This year, for our Franciscan Festival at Portizuncola Indulgence Day, we are able to be at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 4916 Trier Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815 USA with the permission of Father Tom Shoemaker.
We will have a great day of FAITH, FAMILY, AND FUN. And thanks to the help of the generous Priests at St. Charles be able to gain the Indulgence as well. There will be Mass at 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm and Confessions throughout the event.
All you need to do from there is spend a little time in the church, praying the Creed and for the Pope.
We have games for the kids and some good food along with our famous Franciscan Sundaes.
Some vendors will have tables of items for your browsing in between times.
